Caregiver Information

It is said by some authors that “caregiving is as natural a process as learning to walk.” In some way we are all caregivers and care receivers, moving in and out of these roles throughout our life. Something occurs that thrusts us into a caregiver role, a diagnosis, surgery, an automobile accident or age. It is written that a caregiver is an individual who provides care for another person who, ordinarily, would not require care. A caregiver must recognize and understand the needs of the care receiver, then determine the best way to meet that need.
