9:30-10:20 Session 1:

Iowa Chapter of theAmerican Parkinson Disease Association Presented by Crissanka Christadoss, Director of the Iowa Parkinson Disease Information and Referral Center and Ervin Fopma, Board Director of the Iowa Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association
This presentation will cover an overview of Parkinson’s disease and what is being done to ease the burden and find a cure for those impacted by the disease. We will also share stories from people who live with Parkinson’s.

10:30-11:20 Session 2:

Assistive Technology Presented by Gary Johnson, ATP Gary Johnson presents information on Accommodations and Assistive Technology at seminars and Conferences around the state of Iowa. Awareness of Assistive devices, the “gadgets and gizmos” that make tasks easier or possible for everyday living.
11:20-12:10 Lunch

12:10-1:00 Session 3: Delay the Disease
Presented by Jon Jordan, Wellness Director at Heritage House,
Atlantic, IA
“Delay the Disease” is a fitness program designed to empower people with Parkinson’s Disease by optimizing
their physical function and helping to delay the progression of symptoms. Jon is a certified instructor of this class and is passionate about the fact that Parkinson’s Disease can be manageable with daily exercise. This disease does NOT need to define you.
