American Parkinson’s Disease Association (APDA) 
Information & Referral Center distributes information on Parkinson’s disease through distributing publications, seminars, support groups, and conferences.
Iowa Chapter fundraises to support the events, activities and distributing information.

Our organization has been in Iowa for three years, we are searching for individuals interested in forming a team to build a method of communicating to the public on the information available on Parkinson’s disease. 


Coordinate assist in coordinating seminars, workshops and conference will need the support of designing flyers, reaching out to the media to advertise and advocate. 

Design. This team will design brochures, newsletters, and information packets to be distributed throughout the year. 

Fundraising will include a golf tournament, grant writing, and walkathon for research. 

Interview. Meet individuals diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, connect them to others.

Photography. Attend events, taking photographs to be distributed to the media, website and brochures. Catalog and update photo gallery. 

Research. Research is needed to bring in referrals on neurologists, speech, physical and occupational therapist and other updated information on Parkinson’s disease.
